About the White Buses
The White Motor Company began developing a partnership with China's award winning 2007 and 2008 Bus and Coach Builder of the Year (Shanghai - bus Expo), Higer, in 2006. Higer is China's premier bus builder and is not linked to BCI or King Long.
WMC made many trips to China to look for a reliable bus builder. It was Higer's commitment to quality and innovation that attracted us to the brand. WMC were very impressed to find that Europe's biggest chassis suppliers, Scania, has formed a strategic partnership with Higer to build bodies for selective Scania Buses.
WMC have secured the exclusive importing rights for Higer. Higer has also won the Equipment award and the Safest Brand of Choice award four years running (2004-2007). The Higer Bus, through innovative engineering, has been tailor made to meet Australian standards and conditions by Australian engineers. "This bus range is built tough and will stand the test of time."
The Higer built bus has been rebranded "WHITE" for the Australian market.
White has been very selective with the bus componentry. They have stacked our buses with 100% GENUINE quality components that are demanded in the Australian market. Cummins, ZF, ThermoKing, Wabco, Powerdown and Meritor can be found throughout our range and are also warranted in Australia by the relevant OEM manufacturers.
Sales and Service
White have also identified how vital after sales service and support is as being one of the major lynch-pin in becoming and remaining a successful importer of Built-up Buses. For this reason they have appointed dealers based on reputation, bus industry experience, and servicing and spare parts commitment. Based on these criteria I introduce myself, Barry Drury & the Jacana Bus Sales team as the first representative for New south Wales.
You may have heard of Jacana through our commitment in the Motorhome industry over the past 14 years. Jacana Motorhomes has been converting new and used buses and coaches for private motorhome travel and commercial bus promotional work. The majority of work is performed on 36-40ft Vehicles. The Jacana Team have gained extensive knowledge of buses over this period.
Jacana Bus Sales will also carry spare parts and warranty back up service. Jacana is fully licensed Motor Dealer. (no MD21142)
